Samurai Armour Large Format

This week's large format reference image shows how to dress a Samurai. Twenty-two full-colour illustrations from underwear to battle-ready; a fascinating look at what it takes to don full Samurai armour.

Feudal Japan Large Format

This week's large format reference image is Feudal Japan, illustrating twelve forms of armour, two forms of body art and twenty weapons, tools, standards, etc.

Next week it's how to dress a Samurai warrior.

Ancient Egypt DotD

The Ancient Egypt, Africa & Asia Reference Collection is 70% off for the next five hours as WGV's Deal Of The Day.

Ancient World Bundle

I've bundled up all the Ancient World Reference Collections at 30% off. That's 117 full or double pages with hundreds of images for painting minis of Ancient World armies.

Next week (for real this time) it's on to feudal Japan and the week after, how to dress a Samurai warrior.

Ancient European Tribes Large Format

This week's large format reference image is Ancient European Tribes. Thirteen forms of dress and thirty weapons, armour and tools of those pesky Picts, crafty Celts and the rest.

Next week it's on to feudal Japan and the week after, how to dress a Samurai warrior (always handy to know).

Ancient Gaul Large Format

This week's large format reference image is Ancient Gaul. Nineteen forms of dress and twenty-four weapons, standards and tools of those pesky ancient French.

Even more ancient barbarians coming next week with the other Ancient European Tribes.

Ancient Rome Large Format

Here's the second release in the new large format national dress and period costume collection: Ancient Rome. Thirteen forms of dress, and twenty weapons, standards, etc all on one double-page spread and in full colour.

Ancient European Tribes, Ancient Gauls and more to come over the next few weeks.

New Period Costume Series

I've just released the first in a series of large format (double spread) reference images for mini painters, LARPers and cosplayers. The series will include Africa, Ancient European Tribes, Ancient Rome, Inuits, Oceanic Tribes and both Japanese national dress and Samurai armour but starts with Ancient Greece. Look out for one release per week over the next couple of months.

I have delisted the stock art and maps products, perhaps temporarily, while I have a rethink about selling them on DTRPG and the other OBS sites. I'll post more information when I've decided what I want to do with this range of products. If you have already purchased any of the products that were listed, you should still have access to downloads.

Deal Of The Day At WGV

Slightly late but the Napoleon's Armies Military Uniforms Reference Collection is 80% off as the Deal Of The Day over on WGV, available for the next five hours and a bit.

New Military Reference Collection

I've just released a new collection of military uniforms reference images, Napoleon's Armies, with fifty colour images by the great military artist Hippolyte Bellange.

More image collections, military and otherwise, will be released over the coming months.

Deal Of The Day At WGV

In a few hours time the Northern European Nations Military Uniforms Reference Collection will be the Deal Of The Day over at WargameVault.

That's 70% off reference images for painting or recreating Dutch, Danish, Finish, Norwegian and Swedish military uniforms at just $2.70 for twenty-four hours only.

Change Of RSS Feed

Just a quick heads up that the RSS Feed and the Atom Feed have changed. There's also a JSON Feed available, if you are so inclined.

Switch To Grav

I've had more problems with the HTMLy site over the past few days so I've made the switch to Grav.

Similar to HTMLy in that it is also a flat file CMS/blogging platform, Grav offers markdown and a much cleaner, easier method of posting; you just upload a folder to the web site and it automagically appears.

So far, so good with only a minimum of set up but I thought that last time so we'll see. For now, a big thumbs up for Grav and this markdown reminder.
